Settlement Social Worker in Schools Program
To help newcomer children and youth and their families have a meaningful school experience.  Settlement Support Workers in Schools provided services in all Regina elementary and high schools in the Public, Catholic and French school dvisions. 

Youth Program
The Youth program assists newcomer youth to become familiar with their community and establish supportive social networks.  The aim of the program is to help newcomer youth become thriving members of their community.

Counseling

Families in Transition
Families in Transition delivers couseling, workshops, presentations, and connections to community and government services to newcomers. 

Couseling helps newcomers to identify and develop effective problem-soving techniques to overcome the challenges of adapting to life in Canada.  Counseling also helps newcomers identify and achieve their goals.

Employment Services

Employment Readiness Services help newcomers to Canada get ready to enter the job market.  One on one counselling is provided as well as a succession of one week training classes on a variety of job related topics.  These topics include Canadian Workplace Culture, Steps to Employment, Career Exploration and Basic Computers.

Employment Connections provides a variety of Industry Specific Training to help ready newcomers to Canada for specific occupations.  These courses are 8 weeks of class with a short work placement after.

Enhanced Language Training (ELT)

Enhanced Language Training is a language program for skilled immigrants wanting to access job market opportunities where they have previous education and experience in their home country.  ELT is a tuition free program consisting of an intake process, a 15 week language instruction component, a work placement for up to 2 months and a matching of a mentor.  Students learn about working in Saskatchewan while improving their language skills.

Interpretation and Translation Services

The Regina Open Door Society Inc. provides 24-hour on-call interpreter/translator assistance to the Regina community in over 25 languages. RODS provides these services and supports to the Pasqua and General Hospitals, Wascana Rehabilitation, the Regina Health District, the Regina Police Service, the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan, the Court of Queen’s Bench, Legal Aid, Social Services as well as to numerous NGOs, community agencies, businesses and individuals.

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) provides basic English language training to adult refugees and immigrants.  The program facilitates the social, cultural and economic adaptation of newcomers, so that they may become participating members of Canadian society as soon as possible. Childcare and transportation are provided based on need.

Newcomer Welcome Centre

The Newcomer Welcome Centre is an information and services centre to make the tranistion to life in Regina more successful.

Parenting

KidsFirst
KidsFirst is a free, optional pgraom that helps families to become the best parent they can be by enhancing knowledge, providing support and building on family strengths.

The purpose of KidsFirst is to support families before and after the birth of child and to help parents build the life they want. 

Settlement

Resettlement Assistant Program (RAP)
RAP offers direct an immediate services and information to newly arrive Governement Assistaed Refugeees (GARs) withing four to six weeks upon their arrival to Regina.  The services contribute to a newcomer's basic establishment by facilitating a smooth transition to life in Regina, from ariport recption to securing permanent accommodation.

Orientation Services for Newcomers (OSN)
OSN is a program that helps newcomers adjust to their new life in Canada.  Through orientation, information, tranlation and referral to other programs and commnuity resources, the program aims to help newcomers itegrate into Canada society.

Welcoming Community for Newcomers (WCN)
Welcoming Community for Newcomers program assist newcomers to become familiar with their community, establish supportive social networks and enhance their ability to meet their settlement goals.  To achieve these objectives, the program matches newcomers with community volunteers who are established residents in the community and are familiar with local social, ecuational and recreational systems.

Stage 1 English

Stage 1 English is a program intended to help newcomers gain the language skills they need to perform day-to-day interactions effectively within their communities.
