DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in Indigenous Cuisine?\nDo you want to learn about local berries and baking?\nRODS-WCN-Youth Program is pleased to release November and December Youth Indigenous Educational sessions:  Lunch & Learn: In-Person Cooking Workshops.\nWe are pleased to have Chef Jenni Lessard, who is a member of the Métis Nation of Saskatchewan and is the interim Executive Director of the Indigenous Culinary of Associated Nations. She is going to facilitate two in-person cooking sessions – Lunch & Learn to newcomer youth and their family members on Nov. 19th and Dec. 3rd at Food Bank Training Kitchen!\n \nThis program is open for PR youth aged 13 – 24 and their family members. Please refer to the attached poster for more information.\n15 spots in total! Please register as soon as possible!\n\nDate: Nov. 19th & Dec. 3rd  (Saturdays)\nTime: 11am – 1 pm\nLocation: Food Bank training kitchen (ED BLOOS COMMUNITY CENTER)\nTransportation: We will provide bus passes if you need (Please let us know)\n\n\n \nClass Description: Nov 19 Berries and Bannock \nIn this class, you will learn how to make a traditional quick bread called bannock, topped with rose hip butter, and served with Saskatoon berries and wild mint. After we cook, we’ll enjoy our bannock together with a cup of hot Labrador tea and talk about the history and foods of the Métis people, who are descendants of European fur traders and First Nations women.\nDecember 3: Indigenous Cuisine & Cooking Skills \nNOTES: Please let us know if you have any allergies.
