DESCRIPTION:Overview:\nJoin us for a transformative three-day workshop – the RODS – ICARE: Youth Initiative, presented by the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan’s Intercultural Connections and Anti-Racist Engagement (ICARE) program. Facilitators, artists, and storytellers from the Indigenous community will lead this immersive experience, fostering dialogue and understanding among newcomer youth (ages 13-24).\nMeet Our Facilitators:\nKelsey Aitcheson (she/they): An urban member of Standing Buffalo Dakota First Nation, Kelsey advocates for equality and is a facilitator for the ICARE program. With a background in Psychology and Indigenous Studies, Kelsey shares her Two-Eyed Seeing perspective rooted in education, experience, and emotion.\nRisa Naytowhow: A Nehiyiwak Iskewak from Sturgeon Lake, Saskatchewan, Risa taught for three years at her beloved community, Piapot.
