BUILDING BRIDGES Between Indigenous & Newcomer Youth: Drama Workshop EXPRESS THE ACTOR IN YOU.

 

Join this free Drama workshop!

PART 1: Introduction to improvisation and Theatre Games.

Date: Saturday, February 4, 2017 |12:30 – 4 PM|

Place: Regina Open Door Society, 2220-12th Ave (4th floor)

  • Learn basic Theatre skill while having fun. No previous experience required.


PART 2: HOOP Dance Lesson with Terrance Littletent.

Date: Saturday, February 11, 2017 |12:30 – 4 PM|

Place: Newo Yotina Friendship Centre, 445 Winnipeg Street. 

  • Explore the Hoop dance and its 5 significant Teaching.


PART 3: 4-Days Intensive Theatre Making.

Date: Tuesday to Friday, February 21 – 24, 2017 |11AM – 3 PM|

Place: Regina Open Door Society, 2220-12th Ave (4th floor)

  • Work collaboratively to create for theatre presentation.
  • Mandatory attendance and commitment for:
    • 4 days of drama, movement and voice (Tuesday-Friday).
    • 1 day of presentation (Saturday)

PART 4: Sharing of work in progress!!!

Date: Saturday, February 25, 2017 |4–5 PM|

Place:  Campbell Collegiate, 102 Massey Rd, Regina (Auditorium)

  • Audience to be seated by 3:30 to 4 PM

Please note location of event workshop.

Refreshments & lunch will be provided!

Register by January 31, 2017.
Open to all  Indigenous and Newcomer Youth ages 13 to 21.
