Employment Readiness Classes & Workshops
The Employment Readiness program offers classes and workshop to prepare newcomers for employment. Services range from creating an employment action plan to offering classes to develop skils such as resume writing and interviewing.
Basic Computers & Keyboarding
This course provides newcomers with practical information and experience in computer basics for the workplace. Participants will learn how to use a word processing program, email and learn how to access the Internet.
This workshop is for newcomers that would like to learn the makings of a cover letter. Clients will leave the class with an updated or new cover letter.
The job interview is an important and often intimidating part of the job search process. This workshop will give clients the practice and tools needed for successful interviewing.
Did you know that most jobs aren’t advertised? Searching for a job can be a time consuming and frustrating process. This workshop will introduce you to the hidden job market and demonstrate ways to search for a job.
The resume is what highlights your skills, education and abilities before the employer has even had a chance to meet you. Having a well-developed resume can mean the difference between getting or not getting an interview. This workshop will assist you polishing your resume so it stands out from the other applicants. Clients that want to take this workshop must have a basic resume to work with.
