WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?
This workshop is for all newcomers who experience cultural and/or language/literacy barriers to employment. You need to be over 16 years old and demonstrate CLB 4+ in English proficiency. WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?
Participants will attend online classes where they will prepare for a one-day, in-person certification session delivered by our training partner. The workshop provides a safe environment where every participant can learn, practice, and feel comfortable asking questions as they work towards their First Aid & CPR certification.
When you finish this workshop, you will:
- Be able to identify strategies for preventing injuries and illnesses
- Be able to recognize the signs and symptoms of a variety of injuries and illnesses
- Be able to describe and perform the care first aiders provide in emergency situations .
