The Regina Open Door Society is located in the City of Regina on Treaty 4 land, which is recognized as the traditional territory of the nêhiyawak/Cree, Nahkawē/Saulteaux, Anihšināpēk, Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.
Regina’s second annual Refugee Hiring Event is taking place on Wednesday, September 24, with the Regina Open Door Society (RODS) serving as the central convenor. This collaborative event is made possible through the support of numerous community partners and with the generous contribution of our main sponsor, World Education Services (WES).
This exclusive event is not a public job fair. It is a targeted hiring event designed to connect pre-screened refugees and forcibly displaced individuals with local employers who have immediate job vacancies to fill. The model is proven to be effective, with participating employers offering on-the-spot interviews and job offers.
The event aims to benefit the entire community by helping talented individuals find meaningful employment, contributing to Saskatchewan’s growing economy, and strengthening the local workforce.
