English Language Services
Stage 1 & 2 English classes
Stage 1 & 2 English classes run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
This is a provincially-funded language training program to assist newcomers who cannot access federally-funded language classes.
LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada)
The Regina Open Door Society LINC program is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This program provides quality, settlement-based English language training to adult refugees and immigrants to help them adapt to life in Regina and use English in their everyday activities.
To be eligible for the LINC program at the Regina Open Door Society clients must:
- be a permanent resident or Convention Refugee;
- be eighteen (18) years or older;
- be assessed at levels Literacy to CLB 4 on the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Placement Test
This program offers full-time day, part-time morning, afternoon classes Monday to Friday as well as evening classes that are held Monday through Thursday.
Clients participating in day-time LINC classes have access to RODS Child Care and transportation services based on need.
