Our Welcoming Community for Newcomers program has brought together many fitness and sports organizations in the city to showcase all the activities and programs they offer. You can register for as many sessions as you'd like! Check out all the sessions available below.
Regina Optimist Dolphins Swim Team
Our learn to swim program is a developmental swim program that introduces children to the sport of swimming and safety in the water through progressive skill development.
Sportball is a multi-Sport program that keeps children moving and engaged and sends them home with new skills from a different sport in each class. Sports include soccer, baseball, basketball, football, hockey, volleyball, golf and tennis into one comprehensive package. Our programs target three key areas of childhood development, helping them build skills for life! Multi-Sport is offered year-round Indoor or Outdoor for children (16 months – 12 years).
Ehrlo Sport Venture
Ehrlo Sport Venture Program (Sport Venture) is one of Ranch Ehrlo’s community outreach programs that aims to provide vulnerable youth and families with access to sport and recreation programs. By reducing the barriers to participation, Sport Venture’s community leagues provide opportunities to those who may otherwise miss out on the many benefits realized by taking part in sports and recreation.
XP League helps youth in Saskatchewan learn about how traditional sports values are being brought to competitive gaming. Our programs help youth learn technical and performance skills as well as teamwork, leadership, strategic thinking and communication skills while building confidence. We have skill development programs, community programs and competitive league programs.
Kung Fu Regina
Kung Fu Regina offers traditional Chinese martial art (Kung Fu) programs for kids, youth and teens, starting around age 5 or 6. They offer Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Chi Kung/Meditation programs for adults. Special seminars include street self-defence for kids, women-only or adults, as well as health workshops on a variety of topics. Kung Fu students can learn about the dragon and lion dances, and how they tie into martial art training and the celebration of special events, like lunar New Year.
Regina Cricket Association
Black in Saskatchewan
In September Black in Saskatchewan hosted a basketball camp in which they invited children from the Regina community to take part in a basketball camp. With the help of technical coaches coming from the University of Regina Cougars, black youth spent two days learning and improving their basketball skills. With the feedback of this camp, Black in Saskatchewan is looking to expand this camp providing black youth with a safe space to meet friends, and share and develop their skills.
Wascana Rhythmic Gymnastics Club
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport that it showcases the combination of some elements like dance, gymnastics, ballet as well as several apparatus manipulations.
Avonhurst Judo Club
The Avonhurst Judo Club is a volunteer-based organization registered with Judo Saskatchewan & Judo Canada. We work to promote the Olympic Sport of Judo and provide the opportunity to develop recreational, beginner, advanced and elite level athletes from ages 3 and up, in a fun and safe environment. Judo has a wide range of appeal a sport, an art, a discipline, a recreational pastime, a social activity, a fitness program, a means of self-defence and a way of life.

YMCA of Regina
We offer many different programs from swimming lessons, fitness classes, workout programs, pickleball and open gym time.
A-Mazing Adventures has a spot for everyone! From non - walkers all the way up to teenagers and special needs, we have many recreational programs built with appropriate skill levels to further progression within levels, and build confidence and motor skills, all while having fun! For children or athletes who want more of a challenge and are interested in committing more time to the sport, our Competitive program trains athletes in the discipline Trampoline & Tumbling, Women's Artistic Gymnastics, and Acrobatic Gymnastics!
CURLSASK's mission is to promote and develop the future of curling in Saskatchewan by providing leadership, services and programs for the curling community, from Grassroots to Elite. Our vision is that Saskatchewan residents have the opportunity to participate in the province’s official sport of curling. Through our Youth programs, in particular our Rocks & Rings, Viterra Youth Clinics, and Sliders Challenge we are able to welcome and introduce all Newcomers and youth to our sport.
