The Regina Open Door Society is located in the City of Regina on Treaty 4 land, which is recognized as the traditional territory of the nêhiyawak/Cree, Nahkawē/Saulteaux, Anihšināpēk, Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.
Sport, Belonging & Community
WCN creates welcoming opportunities for newcomer youth to stay active, try new sports, build skills, make friends, and feel more connected to their community.
With support from Jumpstart and community partners, youth can take part in a variety of sports and recreational activities in safe, inclusive, and supportive environments.
Soccer
Through soccer camps, training sessions, and team activities, youth develop their skills while learning about teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and healthy competition.
Biking
Biking programs provide youth with opportunities to build cycling skills, learn about bike and road safety, and enjoy active outdoor recreation.
Swimming
Swimming activities introduce youth to aquatic recreation while supporting confidence, physical activity, water awareness, and social connection.
Curling & Canadian Sports
Youth have opportunities to experience sports such as curling and other popular Canadian recreational activities, helping them discover new interests while connecting with Canadian community life.
Girls in Sports
WCN encourages and creates opportunities for newcomer girls and young women to participate in sports, develop confidence, stay active, and feel comfortable participating in recreational activities.
More Sports & Recreation
Youth have opportunities to experience sports such as curling and other popular Canadian recreational activities, helping them discover new interests while connecting with Canadian community life.
More Than Sport
WCN Youth Sports Programs help youth build confidence, teamwork, leadership skills, healthy habits, and lasting connections. Through sport and recreation, participants can discover new interests, strengthen friendships, and build a stronger sense of belonging in their community.
