The Youth Program helps newcomer youth ages 13 – 24 with programs and activities that will enable them to be familiar and fully connected to their new community.
All of our youth programming is free of charge!
This program offers the following programs for newcomer youth:
Homework Help and Conversation Circles
This program is designed to assist refugee and newcomer youth with academic subjects and school projects through volunteer tutors in English, Math, and Literacy.
It runs through the school year, starting from September to June. The program runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

Summer Blast Program
Summer Blast runs throughout the whole Summer in July and August. Our participants have the opportunity to attend multiple activities including Life Skills Educational Workshops, Physical or Virtual Tours, Science Workshops, Art Workshops, English Camp, Writing Workshops, Mental Health Workshops, Recreational activities, etc. delivered by many amazing community organizations.

Toastmasters
This program helps newcomer youth practice speech writing, public speaking, leadership skills, building confidence and networking.
It is an eight to ten-week program that runs twice a year. Fall sessions start in September and Spring sessions start in March on Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Youth Indigenous Education Workshop
This is a series of presentation with educators, facilitators, artists, and storytellers from the Indigenous community. Newcomer Youth clients will learn about Indigenous culture as well as communicate with the Mainstream, and Indigenous youth.

Young Leaders Academy
This program is designed to build character & leadership skills through volunteering, practicing communication skills and proposal writing. It helps newcomer youth in becoming familiar with their community & establishing strong supportive social networks.
It is a 10-week program that runs once a year during the winter.

ART Workshop
The Art Workshop Program will assist learners to improve their art skills and enable youth to express themselves through art and crafts. This program is in partnership with the Regina Public Library (RPL) It will be held once a month on Tuesday.

Youth Coding Program
Youth Coding Camp will provide youth with experience in computational thinking and coding. Youths will learn how to describe and decompose a problem, create an algorithm, write code, and identify the important details needed to solve a problem and test the solution.
It is a 5-8 week program opened to refugees and permanent residents with Canadian Language Benchmark: CLB 4+. Starting in the Fall and Spring.
